The written examination involves reading or listening to texts. The content and nature of the texts reflect the everyday working life of nurses. There are tasks of different kinds, such as multiple choice or matching solutions. In addition, there is a report writing task based on the reports typically completed by nursing professionals at work.

In the oral examination, the focus is on communication between the test takers and with the examiners. Test takers talk about their experiences and opinions on a topic, discuss a controversial topic and give a short presentation.
