My first day at DeutschAkademie

Hello, my name is Yang Xing Yue, you can call me Chelsea, I come from China. I am happy to learn German in DeutschAkademie in munich, I have been in this city for a week already. I am here to visit my friends and will stay here for more than a month, so l think ”Why not enhancing my german skills when living here?”. And luckily l found DeutschAkademie online, and now I am here!

This is my first day learning in DeutschAkademie. Before the class, I was a bit nervous, how would the teacher be? Is he/she a patient teacher? Will l understand when they use german to teach?

But after meeting the teacher and having a short conversation, I then feel less nervous. As a A1.2 student, l can understand the greetings and some basic vocabulary, but if teacher speaks too fast without explaination, l would not be able to understand. Luckily our teacher is a very friendly and patient teacher, she has a talent of body language which makes it easier to understand at her class.

Since most students of us learned A1.1 long time ago, l, by myself, was 2 years ago. I barely remember anything except “Guten Tag”. After knowing basic background of us, she didn’t hurry to teach new lessons, but try to help us to repeat what we have learned in A1.1. It is very helpful for us to pick up the words and grammar that we’ve already forgot. I can slowly can catch up with her speed and context after recalling what l have learnt before.
