Activities in class!

Hello People,

Have you been trying my tips? I hope yes!!! This has been a little bit dynamic for me! I love to learn German and before I did not like it at all but since you start to understand and you are able to speak more the love for German arrives.

Today at class we were talking in German and it is really cool to be able to talk with people that do not speak your mother tongue and that do not speak English, so the only way to communicate is German.

I have classmates that they only know German so this for me is another motivation to learn more so I can be able to talk to them one is from Japan and the other from Brazil. Two amazing countries that I want to to know a lot and the only way is talking to them.

What about you guys, have you been in the same situation as me?

See you in my next post!!

Tips for improving your German!

Hello People,

How is your German going? Well in this posts I want to say some tips that are helping me every day to improve my German.

  1. Associate the German words and verbs with your mother tongue language not English because is better to remember the words.
  2. Download apps if you spend 20 min on Facebook you also can spend 20 min in apps to learn some new vocabulary for example Duolingo is a very cool app.
  3. If in your work or at home there is a German native speakers please ask for help. Tell him or her to talk to you in German. I do that with my husband.
  4. Go to the groceries alone and ask everything in German. People here in Munich are really nice and they know that their language it is quite hard and they appreciate that you are trying to speak it.
  5. I love Gossip Girl series and I am watching it in English with subtitles in German so I can learn more phrases. This series is the 4 times that I watch it. Watch some movies that you already know so it is easier to follow the subtitles in German.
  6. Practice every day at home and try hard.

I hope this tips can help you see you in my next post.

Pao

My favourite spot in Munich!

Hello People,

I want to talk a little bit of my favourite Spot in Munich and what I know about the city. I love “Marienplatz” I think is so beautiful and in summer you can walk around or sit there. For me it is really amazing to see all people that walk around the famous “Marienplatz”. I love that the buildings follow a form and a pattern in order to have one style. That for me it is really amazing!!

I found Munich the most elegant city in Germany because of all the buildings I really love that. You can go shopping; to good restaurants you can do everything in Munich! Also I have my favorite restaurant and it is not Mexican. The name is COCHINCHINA it is Vietnamese food and it is really good!! I highly recommend it. All the food, cocktail and desserts have a really special taste and the most important good quality.

It has been a crazy journey for me since I arrived to Munich specially because it is completely different form my Country “Mexico” but I have been learning and enjoying a lot living here and I already started seeing Munich as my home!!

See you!!

My international classmates

Hello World!!!

This week is kind of short week with our classes!! How is going? Well in my first day I was really happy to see my classmates from my last course one guy from Spain and a girl from Brazil!! They are really niece and I am so happy to be with them again because they are really smart. I think that is really important because it can help you a lot for learning the language!!

My first class was really nice I like that we are different nationalities and that makes the course really dynamic!!! My classroom is very international Spain, Brazil, Croatia, GB, Japan (She has a restaurant), Egypt, Taiwan, India……. I love it!!! Because we can learn not only German we learn about their culture and that is the most beautiful thing of being with international people!!

I am learning a lot it is really cool that we have extra material in our classes in order to learn German in an easier way since it is a difficult language DeutschAkademie helps you to learn it in a very easier and dynamic way!

Looking forward to write more about my life in Germany

Liebe Grüße,

Paola

HOLA, HALLO, HELLO

I want to tell more about why I decided to study German. When I said yes, I want to marry you to my Husband I also made a compromise with his culture, language, family and friends, he is from Germany. When I arrived I did not understand anything I was so sad because it is not nice when you are with people and you cannot communicate.

That happened me in my job in a Marketing Agency here in Munich. My job was in English but sometimes they had meetings in German or my colleague’s spoke in German and for me was really difficult so I decided to focus first on the language. I think is the best if you wan to live in another country, you have to adapt to their culture and language if not I think you will not make it! It is the same if a German goes to Mexico or Spain, they have to speak Spanish in order to socialize with people.

I feel really happy now that I am able to talk in German with my mother in law or with my husband, step by step but who says that moving to another country it´s going to be easy?  So, that is why I decided to come to DeutschAkademie because it is very international and everybody is really nice.

I hope you guys have a great experience here in Germany I know that is not easy but we will always find the way to make it.

Bis Bald! Paola Ramos
