DeutschAkademie Berlin started a Photo competition!

Show us how much fun you have learning German with your course at DeutschAkademie!
We are searching the best and most creative picture of you and your class having fun learning German at DeutschAkademie!
Please send the best photo to berlin@deutschakademie.de until September 28th 2012.
The course of the most-rated picture will win! You will find all photos in the album “Fotowettbewerb Berlin September” on the DeutschAkademie Facebook-site.

The number of “Likes” will decide which picture is winning.
The higher the amount of “Likes,” the higher your chance to win the competition.
Wondering what you can win?
1st award: dinner at a restaurant with your class.
2nd award: a Subway party-platter including soft drinks for your course.
3rd award: cake for your class.

Any other participating course will win a consolation prize.
The best photos will be published on our Website, Facebook or advertisement.

Stammtisch der DeutschAkademie im AMPELMANN Restaurant

Ein Favorit ist das Ampelmann Restaurant.

Eine wunderschöne Atmosphäre an der Spree, eine schöne Grünfläche vor dem Lokal und sehr schön präsentierte Gerichte mit dem Ampelmann. Auch die Cocktails waren ein Traum…
Auf dem dritten Foto erkennt man den Ampelmann (etwas genauer hinsehen :)), Panna Cotta im Weckglas mit Cranberrys und Erdbeer-Minztopping, hmmm, lecker…

Das Queso y Jamon liegt in der über die Stadtgrenzen bekannten Kulturbrauerei! KulturBrauerei, Schönhauser Allee 36, 10435 Berlin – Prenzlauer Berg!

Hier hatten wir viel Spaß mit den TeilnehmerInnen. Eine nette Atmosphäre und ein schöner Biergarten!

German cars

Germany Is a country who is producing the best cars in the world, so this is not atypical scene to see them rolling in the streets of Berlin: Audi and Volkswagen, Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Opel are coming from Germany. Bavaria is one rich and famous region where are located headquarters of Audi and BMW (Bayerische Motoren Werke). Logo of BMW is taking the colors of flag of Bavaria and also represents propellers of plane, because they were producing aircrafts during the World Wars.
Stuttgart is the second rich and famous city because they are located headquarters of Merzedes and Porsche. Merzedes is taking today a part in Formula 1 of McLaren, and it was founded in 1886 by Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler.Opel in 1862 was the first founded car’s factory in Germany. Today, his headquarter is located in Rüsselsheim. Porsche exists since 1931 and it was founded by Ferdinand Porsche, and Volkswagen appears little bit later in 1937 when Porsche had received a contract from Hitler to create people’s car.
Today Volkswagen Group owns Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Ducati, Lamborghini, SEAT, 49.9% of Porsche, Giugiaro, and Škoda marques and the truck manufacturer Scania.
Volkswagen has three cars in the top 10 list of best selling cars of all time compiled by the website 24/7 Wall Street: Volkswagen Golf, the Volkswagen Beetle, and theVolkswagen Passat.
