Visit Germany – annual Kiel Week

Blog 12 by Krishma

Port of Kiel is one of the most versatile ports in the Baltic region. It’s about 2 hours from Hamburg. It’s an interesting nice city which can be explored, if you have interest in maritime history. I had especially visited this city to view the busiest man-made waterway in the world (busier than Suez or Panama) which is just a few kilometers north of the centre of Kiel at Holtenau. This city is known for a variety of international sailing events, including the annual Kiel Week, which is the biggest sailing event in the world. You will also read about this in your Deutsch language books!
