How to survive the winter in Hamburg?

Blog 11 by Krisztina

Hallo followers,

This post was inspired by that fact that I haven’t seen the sun for like a week, which is pretty normal here in Hamburg during the winter. Probably, you also discovered that the so-called “Hamburger Schietwetter” is really rainy, windy, cloudy and grey. So what can we do in this “amazing” (irony) weather?

Luckily, Hamburg is a huge city with lots of exciting indoor activities, so I would like to recommend you some in case you do not want to stay at home and watch Netflix. 😊 I tried to collect different ideas that could be interesting for everyone. I visited most of these places so I hope you will also be inspired by the end of the list. Now let’s see what places we can check out if the weather is not so good (which, let’s be honest, happens a lot here in the north):

  • Termal baths – Holthusenbad (the picture above)
  • Meßmer Momentum Tea House and Museum
  • Airbus Factory Tour
  • LokiSchmidtGarten – Botanic Garden
  • Dialog in the Dark – Experiential exhibition in complete darkness
  • Miniatur Wunderland
  • Maritime Museum

Bis später!
