I would like to introduce myself as the new collaborator for the DeutschAkademie blog. My name is Andrea, I’m 27 years old and I will be posting my impressions of the classes at DeutschAkademie and of Berlin’s citylife during the next 4 weeks.
But, first things first: What am I doing here? Well, I left Barcelona behind and arrived in Berlin three weeks ago -yes, the same exact day when the city was covered in snow, as you can see in the picture-, with the intention to learn German and the will to start a new life in Berlin. I quit my job in Spain looking for a bit of adventure in Germany, and after visiting Berlin thrice last year, I fell in love with this city. So that’s the main reason why I chose Berlin and I’m here writing these lines.
Now the next step for me is working hard on improving my German to get to enjoy the city as a local, and I hope DeustchAkademie is going to help me in that issue! I will try to explain all the experiences that happen on the way, so stay tuned if you want to follow our footsteps as Deutsch students in Berlin!
P.S. If you want to share your story or you have any suggestion about events going on in Berlin that think everyone of us should know, please don’t hesitate to tell me, I’m in class F from 3 to 6pm 🙂
