I must admit I was a bit nervous when I first came to the deutschakademie. You see we are a mixed class from different nations and varying age groups. However there was no need for my nervousness as not only do i have a wonderful teacher who immediately made me feel comfortable and gives me every opportunity to practice my deutsch. I aslo have the most wonderful classmates. Never have I seen such a more functional group where people take time to help one another and no one gets impatient when someone is a bit slow to understand. Every other day we go for coffee to one of the very many cafes near the deutschakademie were we practice more of the deutsch by speaking it amongst ourselves. I appluade the deutschakademie for grouping students so well. Now I have friends from nine different countries. I can always go to Greece and know that Eva will be there to show me around for example. Anna from Brazil is the one that showed me all the shopping wonderplaces in Munich.

I like the books used at the Deutschakademie. I find them very interesting as you do not only learn german gramma but also the culture, a bit of history and of course my hobby shopping. Serkan my teacher also tells us a lot about the history and tradition. At least 15 minutes is dedicated every lesson only for this purpose. One of such lessons was about the money in Europe and I found it very educative as I have been leaving in Austria for about two years and didnot even notice. So did you know that the Euro notes in all the European union countries are the same but not the coins. Sie haben zwar die gleiche Zahlenseite, aber auf den Rückseite haben sie unterschiedliche Motive. The German one and two Euro coins for example has the Bundesadler whereas the Austrian one Euro coin has the head of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. And what do you think is on the Austrian two Euro coin? Guess! and while you are still guessing please take a look and compare all the other coins its very interesting.

I guess you must have read this many times but I just want to say it one more time - I love the Deutschakademie!! For me it is so good i actually come from Salzburg everyday just to attend the German course here in Munich. Everyday I go back home to Salzburg feeling very satisfied. Not only because I feel I have learnt some new and useful German after the three hour lesson but because I know I can always go shopping right after classes. You see I am a shopaholic lol. I just love shopping and the Deutschakademie is located right at the heart of a shopping paradise in Munich. First of all it is very close to the Hauptbahnof so one can get easy and fast train connection from Salzburg to Munich. One can also just cross the street to the other side where you will find shops like H & M; C & A etc. And if you also love food like me then you are at the right place for your course because there is the Burger king, McDonalds, Vinzenzmur and a lot of other eating outlets in the near. So learning German in Salzburg is possible - if you go to Munich by train

Today was the last day in Deutsch Akademie 1A course . First we received the results of our writing test, and my results were pretty good- 148 points out of 160, so I was in a good mood! Later on we decided to go somewhere to celebrate the results and the end of our course. We went to the Marienplatz and chose a place, which everyone seem to like. It was not only leisure, but a german practice as well. We had to order drinks and food on our selves. At the same time we were talking about our home countries. We discussed our traditions and cultures, as well as eatings and drinks. The atmosphere was very warm and friendly. During the studying time we really got much closer to each other.I didn’t expect this trip at the end of the course, but however I found it useful and I’ve enjoyed it!Thank you, Deutsch Akademie!

In my opinion this racy and full of contrasts structure deserves an engineering Grammy. Both the outer and the underground parts are filled with surprises- the mirror ceiling, the blue columns, which get illuminated by blue LED’s, the ground construction of the tram stop, which looks like an UFO… all these ingredients make the U-Bahn station Münchner Freiheit look very unusual and controversial. I’ve been to Munich for about 2 months and during this time I have seen so many spectacular things, including buildings and architectural masterpieces, that I can say for sure – Munich is a place you can live nice and enjoy your staying!

I was very surprised when I saw a sky-scratcher on my way. I have to admit, that there are not so many things, which can divert me, while I’m jogging. However this was one of them. So I stopped… I took a slow walk around to discover the building. It is amazing and effective picture. It is massive and at the same time very elegant. I think it hangs on the fully glazed mirror- facades and sharp corners, which makes this giant look “slim fit”. Only later at home, when I’ve reached the internet, I found out that it is an office building, called Highlight Towers.Taking into account, that Munich for approximately 80% consists of old buildings, there should be many opponents of this building. Candidly my first reaction was the same. But later I found this building very interesting, unusual and even nice… and it is interesting exactly because of the fact, that all other buildings in Munich are classical and not that “screamy”. I love the irregular architecture!

It is not that fat as for instance strawberry, tastes like a real mango fruit and is very freshen. You have to try it. It’s delicious!
