My first day in DeutscheAkademie was a lot of fun. I met people in my group and we started our lesson with Themen 2 aktuell book. In my group students were different ages from 17 to 35 which make it more fun and interesting because we have different backgrounds. I am studying in Munich and was looking for good German courses. DeutscheAkademie has a lot of advantages: small groups, only 10 people, good location, very flexible schedule, international students, nice teachers and very open and polite office workers. Also you visit a German course in Munich and go to beautiful Salzburg. I think it is so nice when you can talk easily with office workers and they are welcome to explain you everything. There is also a possibility to grap some sweets which are so taste.
It was a big impression for me to have a such good client service, which is rare in many others courses.

Yesterday we had a final test in our group. You are always nervous when it comes time to check your knowledge. I think it is good idea to have tests in classes, so you can always know what you need to learn and what you already know. for me German grammar is very hard, but I never give up. I believe it is very important to learn by heart and continue practicing! When I first started learning German everything for me was unclear but now time to time I start understand grammar structures. It takes time to get it right! In our test we had exercises with “zu.” Do you know when to use ” zu” with infinitives? I have learned that you never use it with modal verbs, Konjuktiv, and some verbs such as sehen, hören, etc. Please remember, we are using “zu” with the following verbs:
Our teacher is Daniela. She is very nice and helping. Whenever we have questions she always answers them and tries to explain in details. She is very enthusiastic about teaching and I believe it is very important for us – students. ;0) Another big advantage of DeutschAkademie is small 15 minutes breaks. What would we do without them? It is very good to have a small break during which you can ask your personal questions about grammar and grab a cup of coffee and a croissant or…. something else you like to eat. We are so lucky because we have nice small coffee shops near DeutschAkademie in Munich.
Each person when is far away from motherland always experience homesickness. When I found this Russian Cathedral I was so happy because I felt like I was at home. I would suggest Russian students and also others who are interested to visit it. Not many people even know about the existence of this small piece of Russia in Munich. I am glad I have discovered it. There are a lot of beautiful old icons. Also, there is a small chapel named after St. Nicolas the Miracle-Worker which is inside all hand-painted. When you come inside you can see on the wall the whole life of St. Nicolas the Miracle-Worker.
Finally, it is a last day of my course 2A and I’m looking forward to take 2B course. Usually, at last day of your courses in DeutshAkademie students are going to have “Ausflug,” but it was raining and we decided to stay at our class. We had a very nice breakfast instead, during which we had a nice talk in German about our summer plans. Everyone brought something for breakfast. One of our students Martin from Sweden even cooked a cake. So nice!!!
