Day 13:So, as I have only just begun taking lesson 1A with the Deutsch Akademie, I definitely encourage anyone planning to take this course to study some ahead. Vocabulary is so important!!! I did have a few weeks to learn lots of vocabulary before I began my course but, I still wish I would have known more. I do not feel it is absolutely necessary, but definitely helpful! It is also helpful to have a word book of German and your native language. You can get them at any book store in Munich!German has been tough to learn but I like it and am slowly getting the hang of things. It is much different than English in many ways, but oddly similar in others.

Day 12:In München, there are so many wonderful outdoor restaurants and cafes in which one can begin to experience the low key and laid back European lifestyle! I particularly enjoy the Eis Cafes in Schwabing!!!! Drinking a delicious eis kaffee while relaxing and watching the many people pass by can be super entertaining! There are also some cute bars along the main drag!  And if you are looking for food, there are many restaurants, too! My favorite Italian place is L’Osteria! It is fabulous!

Hallo Leute,Heute erzähle ich euch über das berühmteste Getränk hier in Bayern. Als ich noch auf den Philippinen gelebt habe war ich kein besonderer Fan alkoholischer Getränke, besonders da das Philippinische Bier sehr stark und wenig bekömmlich ist. Nachdem ich aber mittlerweile in vielen schönen Biergärten hier in München war und das bayrische Bier gekostet habe muss ich sagen, ich bin begeistert.Der Geschmack war so gut, dass ich gleich eine Mass getrunken habe. Ich weiss nicht, ob es das schöne Wetter, die gute Jazzmusik oder die bayrische Brotzeit war, aber ich glaube zu verstehen warum die Mönche von Weihenstephan 1040 das erste bayrische Bier gebraut haben. Es ist mittlerweile ein Stück bayrische Lebensgewohnheit, die nicht mehr wegzudenken ist.Ich kann euch nur sagen: Probiert einmal das süffige Bier in einem der Biergarten. Day 11:It is almost the end of my third week and I feel so satisfied with my class up to this point; even though I sometimes feel a little lost, because we are going fast. But it is great and I completely suggest taking this course if you are just starting out!Like I said before, we had covered everything from greeting, numbers, ordering at restaurants, conjugating verbs, but have now moved onto bigger and more difficult things! Some of the new material covers shopping for food and furniture, but most of it focuses on articles and the Nominativ, Akkusitiv, Genativ, and Dativ Kasus. I am starting to better understand how to use these but still have trouble figuring out when to use Akkusitiv and Genativ. And then on top of all that, we are also learning Imperativ! Oh, I have so much to learn!We also have been introduced to so many new vocabulary words. I have a little book I write the new vocabulary words in and it is already quite full!Our teacher is very good about making sure that we all practice speaking and that everyone gets a chance to read aloud/talk during each class. Though I feel incredibly dumb when trying to speak German, I have noticed that with time, I have at least figured out how to properly pronounce some basic and frequently used words such as, ich and ihnen.  :)I really like conjugating verbs and hope to get faster, soon! However, I find it funny that there seem to be so many exceptions (to everything) but am eager to keep learning!

Hallo,Gestern habe ich erzählt, dass wir heute sechs Stunden Unterricht in meiner Sprachschule in München haben. Es ist wirklich sehr anstrengend und es war ein langer Tag aber es ist ja auch gut, weil wir so viel gelernt haben. Nach 3 Stunden haben wir eine Stunde Pause gemacht und danach wieder drei Stunden Unterricht.Wir haben heute die gleiche Grammatik geübt aber mit bestimmten und unbestimmten Artikeln. Wir haben auch einen Test und viele Übungen gemacht, hören, sprechen und lesen verbessert. Dann habe ich ein kurzes Einstellungsgespräch mit einer Kollegin  durchgespielt, um zu sehen ob ich qualifiziert bin, danach ging es wiedr zu den Vokabeln… In meiner Klasse sprechen wir schon so viel.Es sind nur noch zwei Tage, dann ist der Unterricht von diesem Kurs fertig . Hallo,Was habt ihr heute in dem Deutschunterricht gemacht? Also in meinem Kurs haben wir über Adjektive als Komparativ oder Superlative geübt. Diese Grammatik fällt mir einfacher von Tag zu Tag.Heute haben wir auch über  Geschichte geredet, auch über Sport, und dann haben wir auch viel Wortschatz gelernt. Letzten Dienstag hatten  wir keinen Unterricht, weil die Lehrerin krank war. Deswegen machen wir morgen Unterricht von 12 bis 19 uhr mit einer Stunde Pause. Es wird morgen ein langer Tag aber es ist für mich okay, weil Deutsch lernen wichtig ist, wenn man hier in Deutschland wohnt.Mann kann auch Deutsch lernen und viel Spaß haben besonderes in der DeutschAkademie!!!!Viel Spaß in der DeutschAkademie beim Lernen…………EureAriane

Day 10:While staying in Munich, I completely recommend visiting the Starnbergersee! It is a short trip outside of Munich by S-bahn, but absolutely worth making the trip! It is a huge lake which gives way to Bavarian Alps on a clear day and though it is freezing cold, it is a nice place to swim and soak up the sun! It is so beautiful and peaceful there and simply put, a must-see! While visiting, don’t forget to walk through the cute city of Starnberg which has many delicious Eis Cafes and restaurants!I also suggest during your stay in Munich, trying to take in as much of the culture as you can. Where I come from, eating at outdoor cafes is unheard of, so try it! Also, go to a biergarten! They are a great place to meet friends on a warm and sunny day!  Try new foods and see as much of Bavaria as you can! You may only visit Germany once so, make the most of it, as it is all worth seeing!!!

Hallo Leute,die Ariane ist schon wieder da. Es ist schon ein paar Tage her, dass ich meinen letzten Blog geschrieben habe. Letzte Woche war ich drei Tage nicht in der Schule, weil ich meine Hochzeit gefeiert habe. Habe ich schon erzählt, dass ich eine neue Lehrerin bekommen habe, weil Markus, der erste Lehrer in meinen Kurs, seinen Urlaub hat. Es freut mich wirklich so, weil die neue Lehrerin auch ganz nett und sehr gut ist. Die DeutschAkademie hat wirklich sehr gute neue Lehrer.Der ersten Tag von meiner neuen Lehrerin war sehr gut. Sie war sehr nett und jeder hat sie gut verstanden. Sie war unterhaltsam so wie die anderen Lehrer. Außerdem haben wir an diesem Tag einen neuen Kollegen bekommen. Er heißt Brian und kommt aus England. Es war lustig sich mit ihm zu unterhalten. Ich weiß nicht wie alt er ist aber ich glaube zwischen 25 und 30 Jahre alt.Wir haben eine neue Lehrerin und einen neuen Kollegen bekommen aber unser Paar aus Frankreich ist schon weg. Sie sind nur für zwei Wochen geblieben und danach sind sie wieder nach Frankreich zurückgeflogen. Schade aber ich glaube ihnen hat die Schule gut gefallen und sie haben auch viel Deutsch gelernt…..Na ja, ich schreibe jetzt wieder jeden Tag und ihr hört wieder etwas von mir. Day 9:I love traveling and take every opprotunity to do so but when unable to, I often spend my leisure time in Munich relaxing with friends, reading, painting, doing photography, scrapbooking or cooking! Lazy days are always nice too, and just visiting a park or lake for the day is another wonderful option!I also love just walking the many streets of Munich! They are all so different and unique! The museums here are quite nice too!!! I particularly like the Deutsches Museum and just went to see the King Tut expedition, out at the Olympia park! I like that there is always something exciting happening in Munich, whether it be a festival, concert or another special event! In Munich, one can find many ways to spend their leisure time!

Day 8:Class is still going well but at a super fast speed! We have covered everything from greeting, numbers, ordering at restaurants, conjugating verbs, and much more in only two weeks! We have also began, what I find extremely difficult…articles! We had a test today over that today and I am pretty worried about the outcome! It is just that, Nominativ and Akkusativ articles seem so weird to me and though I am sure this will become easier with time and practice, it is terribly hard right now. It is also new to me, that nouns have assigned genders. The easiest thing seems to learn the genders with the nouns. Once I know the gender, and understand and have learned all the rules and reasons to use Nominativ and Akkusativ articles, I think I will better get the hang of German. Before this is all over though, I am sure I will encounter many more confusing situations! But in the end, my goal is to speak German!
